Variety and magic of flora and fauna
The National park Krka lies on the river of the same name with 7 tufa waterfalls. Its beauties represent a natural karst phenomenon, and it is recommended to visit it in spring and summer, when it is in full glory. The canyon of Krka is a deep and picturesque canyon 75 km long , forming noisy waterfalls. Their reverberant sounds bounce off the walls of two cultural and historical monuments: the Franciscan monastery on the island of Visovac and the Monastery Krka. The island of Visovac is situated in the widening of the river Krka, where green water opened the karst plateau, creating a harmonious blend of natural and historic heritage. Surrounded by hilly Miljevac plateau and beautiful Rupsko field, as farmers struggled to unite the beauty in the lap of the blueness of its lake, it resists the storms of historical events through centuries. Irresistible, charming cliff in rich nature that the monks turned over the centuries into an island full of trees, colorful flowers, fruits and vegetables, irresistibly attracts the tourists. Medieval fortresses, mills, religious heritage, the vividness of fauna and flora will wrap you in their magic and make you come back to the island.
