The Pelješac Peninsula is famous for its untouched nature and clear sea. At the very entrance to the peninsula lies the town of Ston, famous for the oldest and still active saltwork that once was one of the great treasures of the Ragusan Republic. Above Ston there are old town walls, second in the world in terms of size. The Bay of Mali Ston is famous for oyster and mussel production. The production of top quality wines is one of the main activities rooted deeply in the culture of local population. On the slopes and near the sea, bathing is sunshine, grows the Pelješac grapevine whose fruits will, with a bit of winemaker's magic, become a premium wine.
The recommended departure time is at 09:00. The first stop is in Trsteno for sightseeing of the botanical garden. The next stop is in Ston for sightseeing of the town. Then we will visit the wineries with wine tasting, and afterwards we are going to Mali Ston for lunch in the restaurant "Bota Šare". The foreseen return to Dubrovnik is around 17:00.
