Overnight on Šipan Island.
The Elaphite islands are a group of islands western of Dubrovnik. They were named after the deer that once lived on them (Greek word Elaphos = deer). The three largest Elaphite islands, included in this excursion are: Koločep (Kalamota), Lopud and Šipan. A professional skipper will be waiting on the boat, welcoming the clients with a bottle of Croatian quality white wine, seasonal fruits, juices and water.
Small island for great experiences
Koločep is the island that is the closest to the town of Dubrovnik. Vicinity of the town, subtropical vegetation, fresh sea air, vast pine forests, olive trees and sandy beaches are the reasons why Koločep is a very frequently visited island. During the hot summer months you will see plenty of tourists in the sea by the waterfront and on the long sandy beach that stretches along the whole length of the port. In summer the island of Koločep, like all the other islands, lives in a completely different, more vivid rhythm. The harmony of coexistence of local residents and tourist visitors on such a small island is formed every year, again and again.
Hot sandy beaches and shade of the centennial park
Lopud is one of the most attractive islands of the region in terms of tourism, given its size and diversity. The Lopud port is a place where ships dock, pouring a river of tourists to the coast in search for their place in the sun. Some people get stuck at the first available place on a sandy beach by the port, while the others are willing to cross a few miles to get to the beautiful, sunny, long and sandy beach Šunj. The boats moored on both sides of the island enjoy the view of the coast, the island’s mountains, churches and bell towers. The green oasis of the island is the Park of the family Đorđić Mayneri, with a long and wide promenade surrounded by the plants from all over the world. The park also features a fountain, while the benches protected by the treetops offer shade and rest to every tired traveler. Sunbeams can hardly get through the treetops, giving the park an ideal temperature even in the hottest summer days.
The island of summer villas and churches.
The entire island is covered with Mediterranean vegetation, a blend of makija (typical shrubland), Aleppo pine forests locals have planted figs, grapes, pomegranates and carob, and special attention was given to the mother of the entire Mediterranean – the olive tree. The peacefulness of the island’s mild nature is proved by even 42 old mansions and 34 churches, built by Dubrovnik’s noble families for their countryside villas. Šipan is a “must see” destination in terms of relaxation and visiting because, once you pass with a boat near its shores, the sights that you see will certainly provoke you to stop and visit the island.
After breakfast new cruise to Mljet Island including NP of Mljet
Overning in Mljet
National Park Mljet is the oldest national park in Croatia. The Park was given this status due to its outstanding cultural and historical heritage that goes back to the times of Illyrian tribes, Roman Empire and Dubrovnik Republic. But for this status the most credited are its "salty-sweet" lakes, lush vegetation and unique panoramic landscape of indented coastlines, cliffs, reefs and numerous isles and rich, always green vegetation of the surrounding hills that rise steeply above the sea and hide numerous karst fields and ancient stone villages. In the middle of the Great lake is a natural, cultural-historical and tourist delicacy - the picturesque isle of Saint Mary with the church and the Benedictine monastery dating from the 12th century. The isle, dues due to its exceptional aesthetic image and strong cultural and spiritual dimensions, represents the symbol of the island and the National Park Mljet. This island is really the right choice for exploring and sightseeing the beauties of Croatian islands and their coasts. Dive into the island of Mljet, into the forests of its parks, into its lakes and become, at least for one day, a part of the island.
After breakfast cruise to Korčula
Overninght in Korčula
The island of Korčula is abundant in beautiful beaches and bays, luxurious hotels and summer houses, centuries-old olive groves and vineyards and ancient villas. There are also ancient villages that seem to have been lost in some old times, luring the tourists from all over the world to this island. The “must see” sights are the Cathedral of St. Marco, the center of religious life, and the most beautiful Gothic Renaissance monument in the old town of Korčula. There is also the Korčula Town museum, situated in the Gabrijelis palace. Folk knight dances, Moreška, Kumpanija and Mostra, represent a part of the tradition of Korčula. Korčula is also famous for its gastronomic delicacies, typical for the Mediterranean region. Who would not love to have lunch consisting of brodet (fish stew), made of fresh fish with polenta, goat and sheep cheese and homemade quince jelly for dessert – the kontonjata?
